We are thrilled to bring you our first Client Story and it's a Wedding! We love seeing our guestbooks in wedding photos and one of our favourites, The Pohutukawa Guestbook was part of Kylie and Dixon's Wedding Day. Photographer Chris Melville took some stunning shots of this romantic wedding which we get to share with you.

Kylie & Dixon held their ceremony at Kylie's family farm in Onewhero, which is about 40 minutes south of Auckland. The farm created a stunning backdrop for this relaxed wedding full of love, joy and laughter. Think tree lined driveways, vintage tractors and a country backdrop to create that wow factor on what was a glorious Summer afternoon.

We love how this amazing day involved lots of DIY elements with family and friends helping to create a magical wedding with lots of personal touches. For instance, the fab vintage Holden Kingswood was supplied by a family friend and driven by Kylie's cousin Nathan Jones. Flowers were created by another Jones family member, JJ.

There is just something about red roses that you have to love. The Pohutukawa topped wedding cake was made by Kylie's Sister, Debbie Jones. Hair and make up were by Charlotte Aumatangi who created a stunning look for the bride and bridesmaids.

The intimate ceremony was led by Auckland celebrant, Ngiare Ford and was made even more special as Kylie and Dixon's young sons were ring bearers.

Musically, the whole day was on point. Dixon is one of the most versatile guitarists in Aotearoa which has seen him perform with jazz and pop musicians all over the world. He is a Director of Bands By Design so it's no surprise the music on the day was perfectly planned.

From the jazz trio playing under the trees as guests arrived, to the live band and vocalist who rocked the stage at the reception, this event had top flight musicians keeping guests entertained all day! So if you are still planning your wedding entertainment and are looking for a band or musicians we are sure Dixon could help!

During the wedding, guests were invited to sign the guestbook which had been set up on a vintage dresser in one of the marquees complete with a vase of flowers and ink pads to match the red theme of the wedding. Kylie chose our Pohutukawa Fingerprint Tree Guestbook. Guests loved adding their fingerprint on the tree leaving their mark on this special day. Kylie asked us to frame the guestbook for her after the wedding and it is now hanging in their home.
