You need to make sure that you place your guestbook in a place that people are able to see it and find it easily. If it is too far out of the way or seems to be hidden then people might not notice it and you're going to miss out on capturing some loved ones. People are going to need to sign your book, so you need to make it as easy as possible. As much as you trust people, people will get distracted and walk off with pens in their hand/pocket without noticing.
