Behind the candle
The story behind this candle is one we think you will want to read. Here it is, in the words of Laura, CEO and Founder of Lyttelton Lights:
Our Remembrance Candle was crafted in honour of my Opa, one of my biggest supporters when I started Lyttelton Lights. The Fig & Apple Blossom fragrance was inspired by him. Opa always brought our family together, especially around Christmas. When he fell ill, he wanted to do something special for Christmas, knowing he wouldn't be there.
I created a small batch of candles with the quote, "If there ever comes a day where we can't be together, keep me in your heart, I'll stay there forever" on the jars, poured with the Fig & Apple Blossom fragrance. These candles were a special gift to each family member from him, and we continue to burn them during birthdays, anniversaries, or whenever we gather, to feel his presence.
Since then, friends have reached out wanting something similar to comfort and support those experiencing loss. We often send out candles on behalf of our customers with notes related to loss.
Extending this special family tradition, we created our Remembrance Candle for you. I hope this candle can provide light in times of darkness for others who experience loss, whether of a friend, loved one, family member, beloved pet, or otherwise. I hope it brings comfort as it has for my family.
